Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act:

In 2008, the Pennsylvania Legislature passed the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act.  The law requires that all contractors who perform at least $5,000 worth of home improvements per year register with the Attorney General's Office.

Forced Mergers

There are two bills, HB2431 and SB1357, in the Pennsylvania legislature which would affect townships. HB2431 would establish the county as the basic level of local government. SB1357 would establish an unelected statewide commission to review and make recommendations to the General Assembly for the merger, consolidation, or annexation of municipalities. More >>>
